I watched an interview with one of these remarkable women who said the most incredible thing that has stuck with me, " Back then nobody had nothing and everyone was happy. Now a days everybody has everything and everybody is unhappy". These ladies may have talking about quilting, but to those who will listen they teach the best life lessons. We can all learn from these beautiful women.
beautiful video of the strength of real women in a nation and the spirit and creativity of their minds to create what they choose from vision. love this video!
Its about time these women living in this isloated black community get recognition for there beautiful work. There needs to be much more focus on the black arts in America.

i dont think that even if my grandma was still alive that she'd be able to talk in front of a camera.
