Origami: Octagon Flowery Pinwheel Lid
Designed by: Tomoko Fuse
Made by: Heather
----------
Today's origami lesson is ninety-nine in the series. Today we continue making containers and boxes. Yesterday we made the base of this box and we are going to make one of many variations of an octagon lid today. This assembly creates a pretty flowery pinwheel. Have fun with different colors and folds.

  • hey do u have dis for pentagon ?

  • @hasibs555 No, I don't have any pentagon boxes up at the moment. Perhaps I will try to get some up someday. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!

  • what are the squares measurements?

by the way your really good at these

    i like the colors:P

  • @OrigamiLover98 Thanks for watching. I replied on your other question too, but I almost always use standard origami paper (15 x 15 cm). This is about 6 inches by 6 inches. I don't have a sample of the finished product to give you measurements though. I do have the Square Box Lid with Ornament . This used the 15 x 15 cm paper and the resulting box is 8 x 8 cm (a little over 3 inches square). It also is one inch deep (2.5 cm). Happy Holidays!

  • @AzngurlXanglepie 15 x 15 cm squares

  • Wonderful box, so beautiful. Many thanks for the demo, I shall keep practising as mine tend to go pear shaped at the putting together stage. Thanks again.

  • HOW DO I PUT THIS THING TOGETHER ITS SO CONFUSING

  • Thank you so much for these videos! When I was a little girl I found a book in the library to make origami boxes and feel in love with it then; I recently found that same book on amazon.com (almost 20 years later) but your videos are so much easier to follow than a book! bzI've been making origami boxes all week long. : )
