Mosquito Tent Hammock. Bushcraft, camping, homeless,shelter,stranded passengers

The news 4.15.10 volcano shuts down air travel tells of more planes stranded since the 9.11.01 event if you had one of theis in your carry on you would at least have a place to sleep till you could get a room. Proof that this is a tough little hammock. Bought it on line about $140 it is worth that. It is an emergency shelter in the event of hurricane we can evacuate and I can have a good place to rest as long as I have two spaced trees.

Have you ever slept in a tent on the ground? Even with an air mattress, it sucks! Well this way you are off the ground you have a self induced breeze by way of rocking, lightweight, stores quickly, barely know you have a tent on your back, can be set up on trees, cars, poles, anywhere you can safely tie off to you could tie off over water if you want. Paddle out to a site with an inflatable tie off get your rest no body to bother you especially the police they love to hassle you if you are homeless. Paddling to a place like this gets you away from all the crazies too if you think about it.
I will get larger netting so I can save on the Deet hate to put that stuff on it makes you hot. Hope this is helpful ask any question you wish I will answer it.

There are many versions and brands of tent hammock google tent hammock and you will see plenty of them some people blog about them and give you their opinion of their time with their product I want to see Cabalas carry these or Bass Pro.

This is not a proper setup. It is for demonstration purpose only the trees on my property are not spaced enough if they were the swing would be better. The rain fly came with it should be taught again demonstration only not set up correctly it is a great looking package that blends in well with the surroundings. Low impact because you do not have to disturb the ground why bother no rocks roots plants to poke you in the back. You can sleep on your side roll over side to side whatever you need to get comfortable. The surgery I have had is called a 360 they cut you front and back install titanium rods and triangles tidy up with bone implants again it's major surgery. My truck was flipped by a tornado I was injured hence the surgery and the need to sit occasionally I almost have to carry a chair with me at times. I have walked the 6 miles to the local supercenter to see If I could make it. Blisters on my feet I made it had to rest a few times but made it.

My climate is mild (more like a jungle) if you have to deal with snow get a Clark they appear to be top of the line and offer warmth with their under side bag that can be filled with cloths moss whatever. Clark acted shocked when I told them my weight I guess they feel the overweight handicapped don't deserve the great out doors. How are we to loose the weight by crashing in the sleep number bed because if I can't be comfortable I will not go?

This device opens the door for me to get active. I will loose this weight you can count on that. Was loosing weight at work will do a video on that later but truckers usually gain weight at work I am the opposite I loose weight at work.

I have this hammock also. I love it. There is a pocket to put in a sleeping pad so that you don't have to worry about the mosquitos biting. that's what i do. The pad helps stabalize the hammock and keep your butt cheeks from getting frosty in the winter like mine did.

@jloneill17 About the only time I would need to use this tent is when a hurricane forces us from our home then if we return and it is destroyed I might have to use it a few weeks. Or if my wife and I split then I plan to go into the woods on my boat and live off the land. I bet I would loose weight that way then I could use an off the shelf hennesey but I would have to loose at least 150 lbs. Most hammocks max at 250lbs.

I will take my hammock out the filing cabinet and I am going to establish a bush shelter I plan to use things in the area and some things I will bring. I plan to bring a 55 gallon barrel to collect water some plastic to provide area for water collection. This will be my place to go or a place to offer to people that are having it rough elsewhere and they want a safe place to chill while they get their life together. We have jobs here a chance to

Hi I bought that same hammoch and tarp, very cheap and good quality. Used it for the first time this november in the lake district and I loved it. I also used thick webbing as not to damage the trees.

@ohfuckity Glad I could help I have mine for emergencies carry in the car JIC I end up where I have no place to sleep. I can't see how the homeless can sleep on a strip of coardboard you can get a Q sized sheet at a thrift store get some wire or rope make a hammock you would be out $2 max. Enjoy your hammock remember the skeeters can get through the bottom and bite you carry some deet for them little vampires.

@markuswv I say have an alternative option so you don't have to place yourself in any unnecessary debt. Had I known about hammocks when I was a teen I might have had a better life I had tents and made do with what I knew about. We just paid all our debts off does that make any sense? I don't sleep in my hammock I have a sleep number if I had to I could sleep in the thing if that were the option. Some the world is ending they have debt so large they have NO home they believed the pie in the sky.
