Just recently I discovered a manga called Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Its set in our near future where the earth has suffered some sort of environmental disaster. Instead of going "mad max" on everyone, the survivors have settled down to a more simpler calm life. An ageless robot girl named Alpha runs a cafe in this world and observes her neighbors and friends as they live through this future.
Strangely, for a "post-apocalyptic" story, the manga is warm and upbeat albeight with the world moving on with a "fidder on the roof" sort of melancholy. I enjoyed the manga so much, I whipped up this quick music video about it.
