Our cruise ship, the Island Princess stopped in Huatulco, Mexico February 27, the day of the Chilean earthquake. We got in about noon and left a few minutes later after the wave came in. Captain Bilton decided to leave in a hurry after two of our main mooring lines snapped at the dock due to the unusual currents. Several small boats capsized, but I don't think anyone was hurt. The dock workers risked their lives casting off the remaining lines.

  • MrSupersancho, A tsunami can have many forms, not all are roaring sea, sometimes they are just a few feet high,.other times they can be several meters high walls of water, crushing everyting in its way,.

A tsunami is only a displacement of the water, either from a earthquake,or an land /iceslide,or something as simple as a explotion near the oceanfloor, as long as it sets movement to the water column.

  • IDIOT THATS NO A TSUMANI.
