She was in my grade at Clements, and in a lot of my classes throughout our Freshman-Junior years. We weren't REAL good friends or anything, but she was one of those people that was cool with almost everyone and easy to talk to. It was a tragedy when it happened -- I still remember the summer before senior year when the news was announced. Matthew McCombs and Sean Brown were both in my classes too, it just felt so damn surreal, it definately sent a shockwave through Clements. Anyways, RIP Ashton.

Matthew McCombs got a sentence of 50 years with the possibility of parole after just 25. Sean Brown is schedule to have his trial in January 2008.

Neither one has had a trial yet. I'm not sure if they're doing them together or not. However, Matthew McCombs the trigger man is said to be going to be pleading not guilty due to insanity and Sean Brown is also said to be pleading not guilty. They're both sitting in the Fort Bend County Jail in Richmond/Rosenberg, Texas awaiting trial. I hope there is a lot of media attention when the trial does begin.
