The song "The Wait" was originally released by Killing Joke in 1980 on the "Killing Joke" album.

Metallica's version of Kiling Joke's "The Wait" is much harder and not as "poppy" as the original. The original version of "The Wait" don't have a solo included. Metallica knew that song from a mix tape which was given to Cliff Burton by a guy who is mentioned in the "Kill 'Em All" booklet as Rich "Banger" Birch.

Metallica originally released it in August 1987 on "The $5.98 E.P. - Garage Days Re-Revisited" EP.

All rights goes to the band Metallica, the record label, copyright owner etc.
