I am sure they just smiled it off, lovely lads these. I never heard actual traditional Irish Music as it is played in Ireland by Irish people. So my poor old retired shoprat of a dad says, "Get ready for a road trip, John Sheffler has a bar band or something from Ireland for St. Pats."...I show up at a college cultural event in honky tonk dress...The top trad act from Ireland comes out, totally reinvents my musical palette. My Teada recordings do not compare to seeing them live. Slan!

They came into my Starbucks yesterday and I asked them where they were from (the accents) and I am SO sorry I asked them "Scotland?" and "England?" before I got Ireland right ha ha don't the Irish hate England?

Teada are amazing. They were in Philly and gave a masterclass which I attended a few years ago. Damien did the flute class and he was very jovial. Had a pint in front of him the whole time. The concert... oh my God. Tristan is a beast on that bodhran. I didn't realize an irish drum could make melodies like that until I heard Tristan play it. He's amazing.
