SkyFlightCare MD-902 Explorer

Rotorfest 2008
Brandywine Airport
West Chester, Pennsylvania
Sunday October 12, 2008

IN THIS VIDEO, watch as SkyFlightCare's rather new MD-902 is put through its paces in a makeshift demonstration following a return from a medical emergency.

Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

  • Is it RC heli?

  • is this a rc model?

  • the thing i like best about this chopper is that there's no tail rotor

  • The Notar actually hovers better OGE while it's the opposite with other helis.

  • @IonoTheFanatics OMG, i thought that it was a new technology.

  • I seen a demo of this type of chopper in Queenstown NZ back in 93 and for years people would look at me funny when I told them about the helicopter with no tail rotor, so they've been around awhile. NOTAR.

  • @lilo689 it's a NOTAR helicopter.. it doesn't have a tail rotor...

instead it uses a special fan inside the tail boom, you can't really use the turbine exhaust because that means the anti torque from the tail boom would depend on the main engine output.

  • I think a porcentage of the blast from the turbines are conducted to the tail and exits through the hole we can see in the tail at 0:57

  • Brilliant, beauty way to hide a tail rotor. I think it still has one, but it works differently.

  • das purrrrdy
