the COLD - Memories of a Garage Band

Back in the early 80's, New Orleans had a popular local band on the scene called the Cold. They did a few reunion concerts in the 90's and I got the opportunity to sit in on a practice session with the band in my Uncles garage. My Uncle Chris plays the drums, and along with Vance, Bert, Kevin and Barbara, the rocked on. Dispite the cold weather that night. Here are three songs I chose to place on line. And although this isnt a low budget studios skit or feature, I did do the filming. Had a great time, and yes, might as well say it.... Vance is Ellen Degeneres' brother. She even opened for them way back when. But the Cold was the feature and they kicked ass. They sound great live, but sort of muffled here, It was a garage, after all.

Saw the COLD in New Orleans back when I was in tech school in the Air Force in Biloxi, 1981. Absolutely loved them! Great times.. Barbara was a trip to watch..really fun!!

Would be great to have another reunion!

AWESOME!!!! We used to drive all the way from Baton Rouge to listen to Cold. They rocked then.. they rock now!!! I'm slam dancing against the wall as I listen to this! HAHAHAHAHA.....
