The story about my little foster kitty Fantasia.
She was found half dead on the street by a volunteer of Japan Cat Net and grew into a beautiful, nice and awsome little cat.
This story had an happy end but not all do.....

and
all no-killing shelter all over the world
What you can do:
- foster, volunteer and donate money (if you can)
- never get an animal from a pet shop because this just causes many breeder to breed more and more cats and dogs which sometimes get no homes and ending up on the streets again.
-Think very well about if you really want an animal! Cat and dogs can become up to 20 years. That is a long time! Most relationships are shorter ;P
A way to find out is definately fostering for a shelter or organisation. That is what i do with fachan at the moment.
When you foster the shelter can still search for a new owner while you have the animal and you can find out if a cat or dog is right for you. if not you can bring the animal back or keep it until someone adopted it. this way you help the animal and the shelter and you dont make an animal unhappy if you find out that you are maybe not a "pet person"
-if you really want a cat or a dog take a look at some of your near shelters. Maybe you find an lovely animal for you. Beside shelter animals are most of the time already neutered or spayed and will cost you much less money.
- start trap neuter return in your region because not all cats are ment to life in homes. some really like to be street cats ( What is TNR: http://japancatnet.com/blog/getting-information/tnr-information/)
-if you already have an pet please spay or neuter it! That will provide alot of stress, make your pet healthier and maybe even life longer.
(Persian cats like Fantasia can for examble die when they give birth because their babies have unusual big heads and can cause inner bleeding)
Also without any money there are many many ways you can help making little cat and dog lifes happy.....
What a wonderful story! It brought tears to my eyes! She's so beautiful. I am so happy to learn of her happy ending with her loving family. I also have rescue cats (and dogs) and it can be heartbreaking to see them but is always heartwarming and touching to see them after they're shown some love and attention. Congratulations to you for caring, sharing and educating people around the world!

@1summertime66 thank you so much.i try to answer to all my comments but sometimes i just forget them or dont see them.
still people ask me why i spent so much time and money in bringing my 2 cats from germany to japan.i can always just say because they are my family, they are living creatures...you cant just throw them away because your life has changed.
i think if you are getting a pet its a resposibility as long as this animal lives. no matter if things in your life are changing or not.
