England won their first, and so far only World Cup in 1966, The win was tainted by controversial events.. take a look.
Edit - I've just been told that Eusebio had three disallowed goals in the semi final - I looked it up and it's true LOL.
I wonder if England will try it on again in 2018!!
I've read now a lot about the "three disallowed goals by Eusebio" in the semi-final, but haven't managed to find a videoclip of them. Can anybody help me?

401st comment to end it all.
FIFA and UEFA are both corrupt organizations whose presidents and higher ups are influenced by money. Each and every year they will try to get the most prestigious and highest revenue generating teams in their finals. I'm sorry to say it but The Netherlands and Chelsea are a victim. They may not be the best but at times when the should have won, they somehow controversially, end up losing.

@gwangi64 And I never said that 1966 was a legitimate triumph - I really do not give damn about it!
The italians won their second World Cup in 1938 with players from Uruguay and Argentina which weren`t by any rules of that time allowed to play for Italy - But that was 73 years ago and Wembley was 45 years ago. So it really doesn`t matter!

@gwangi64 Who cares - It wasn`t illegal!

@SuperJuliusC
Thanks for admitting that 1966 was a legitimate triumph!
And you're ignoring the suspicions about 1954 when witnesses have said used syringes were found under the floor of the German dressing room after the match, and several German players subsequently went down with jaundice which is a side effect of injecting drugs. I'll let you argue with the Hungarians about that one.

@gwangi64 But not in 1954...
So all "our" titles are rightfully ours!
So keep your little trophy from 1966 - We have plenty of those...

@SuperJuliusC
Ephedrine is a decongestant that can also be used as a stimulant and it was on a list of banned substances during the 1966 World Cup.

@gwangi64 The letter doesn`t even speak about doping - It speaks about "slight traces of a cold medicine" which is based on ephedrine!
So Germany was never tested "positive" for doping - Just for a medicine!
That is a big difference my friend!

@SuperJuliusC
That's more evidence than you have and it's been published in several reputable publications! All you have about 1966 is your own opinion, which you have not produced a shred of evidence to back up.

@gwangi64 He changed his mind?!
Signalizing "corner" means that he hadn`t seen if the ball was in or not - So he lied to the referee when he was asked if the ball crossed the line!
