This year marks the Twelfth Anniversary of Niagara Artists Centre's
STRUTT WEARABLE ART SHOW. The Largest Wearable Art Show in Canada! Saturday, 19 November 2011 at WS Tyler building 2
225 Ontario Street
St.Catharines ON

Vivacious, enthralling, provocative, and downright weird; so begin attempts to describe STRUTT, the Niagara Artists Centre's Wearable Art Show, one of the area's most inventive events.

More than fifty amateur and professional contemporary visual artists from Niagara and beyond conceive and construct art for the human form. These creations range from the charming to the captivating, the edible to the electronic, the absurd to the elegant. Volunteer models from the Suitcase in Point Theatre Company and students from Brock University's Dramatic Arts program perform on the runway.

"You could think of it as a collision between a travelling burlesque troupe, or maybe a gypsy caravan and Andy Warhol's Factory" says Stephen Remus, Minister of Energy, Minds and Resources at the Niagara Artists Centre. "You can't anticipate what you'll see—irreverent, ingenious, political—the creations that come down the runway range as widely as the collective imagination of the many artists contributing.
