I wrote this song for the 99%. Many of the lyrics are adapted from posters I saw in the pictures from Zucotti Park -- those folks gave the 99% a voice and a movement. Now it's up to the rest of us to retell and amplify what they started. I'm excited to be featured in the upcoming Music For Occupy compilation alongside dozens of other talented artists (http://www.musicforoccupy.com), so please check it out. Lyrics: i am a born again american i want to be the change, i can hear it coming
i'm not losing hope but i'm losing my patience i lost my job, found my occupation
when the rich rob the poor it's called business and now when we protest, it's called violence if this country's big enough for you it's big enough for us too we are the ninety-nine, we're not going home tonight
we will not back down, just look at what's at stake ninety-nine to one, now those are odds i'll take
so many out of work, so much work to be done i lost my job, found my occupation
where do you stand? i stand with you where do you stand? i stand with you where do you stand? i stand with you i'm not losing hope but i'm losing my patience i lost my job, found my occupation
we're not going home we're not going home we're not going home we're not going home tonight
