bdubya--All I'm taking is a utilitarian POV of this. Yes saddam, al quaeda and the taliban suck. These regimes killed innocent people before 4 got there. But now its gotten worse since we r there. more terrorist attacks, more civilians killed, and more importantly more support for the insurgency. Have you ever heard of the American-Vietnam war? Lets face it. Afghanistan & Iraq r doomed to suffer before, during, & after we're illegally occupying 2 soverign nations. Yes, I fucking hate the Taliban & al Queada, but theyre there 2 stay. Its nearly impossible 2 defeat a borderless enemy that uses guerilla warfare on its own turf even if the invader (US) is much more advanced. Thats why we won the Revolution, why we "didn't win" in Vietnam, and thats why we're losing now
