I was meditating by the ocean years ago and God spoke into my heart that this very scene from BEN HUR, was watched in person by Him as it was filmed. I believe that it is the greatest uncut minute-40 seconds of acting in any film ever made, from 1:04 to 2:35. You will notice that the camera lights have to be moved to eliminate the shadows on the actor's faces. Watch this scene on wide screen format to take it in fully. If it impressed God, then it should us all.

Ben Hur is not in the top ten of greatest films because Hollywood and many of the media critcs are simply anti-Christ. They claim to be liberal and tolerant, but when it comes to anything hinting at "the greatest story ever told" they become eclectic and sectarian. Over time critics have successfully removed the impact of this movie and author out of peoples minds. Why? Because of the biblical inferences of the person of Jesus Christ.

Actually the great line is from Judah, "The day Rome falls there will be a shout of freedom such as the world has never heard before."' Freedom from oppression has always been the great Biblical Theme. Ultimately freedom from sin, not just a powerful or foreign oppessor is what men need to come to see!

Read the book of Daniel...Rome is gone too (as a world power) and all world powers eventually go too. Those who seem foolish to those who compromise...may not be foolish at all.
Although... there is a big difference between a faith of love, and fanaticism.
