i agree with a lot of this and thank you for the good advice but at the same time i think you're feeding people false information. There's nothing wrong with picking up a book, to get really absorbed into it, but they don't slow down your thoughts in the factor of making any sense of them. Reading a book (etc) is an example of escapism. Personally when I find I stop reading, the thoughts come rushing back at a quicker pace, and im more panicked because I know I've wasted time.

I can't sleep cause I'm always thinking about my girlfriend.(I know it's dumb) but I miss her a lot and were still in high school so even after 2years we cant stay with each other. My minds constantly racing about her. Any suggestions?

this video helped me a lot. i have tried some of these suggestion and they work. some other in which she suggested i havn't tried yet but i sure that they would work. thank you for posting this, i know now that i'm not the only one who cant control his/her thoughts. sometimes when your mind races you feel like you've lost control and this will help alot. i felt as if you were talking just to me. everything you said hit the nail on the head. thanks again

Hey, just watched this vid, and just focusing on what you were saying calmed my mind down and I have a REALLY weird mind that thinks like ten thousand things at once! So well done and thanks for posting this. Cheers!
I changed the title from 'manic mind' to 'busy mind' as I inadvertently offended someone who was manic. This was never intended or claimed to be for people with an official diagnosis so I hope the change clears up any confusion.
