@TheFinalformsora when u go to the random box, BEFOR U OPEN IT, u shoot the 2 question marks 2 times each (the ?'s that are on the top of the box) then u go prone and buy the random weapon. if u dont see the ray gun while its shuffleing, that means u got it that is the same with the thunder gun. if u didnt didnt do it right, then u get a crossbow.

I've heard another one that works, you can shoot the middle of the box 8 times, stab it with your knife, then prone and you'll get thundergun or ray gun easier. I don't think it's a glitch, but with the game.maybe.

@likeaboss19573 first you open the box shoot 4 bullets, go prone stand back up and shoot the other four bullets and you should get a ray gun or thundergun if you do it right.
