@vijaykumar1231000: What a pathetic and baselesss comment! First off, Rajna has no such complex. If you make an attempt to get to know her, you will find that she is one of the most self confident yet humble people in the field of music. Second, her hairstyle, which is purely a matter of personal preference, has nothing to do with attempting to look "mannish" or her ability to handle mrudangam deftly. Most importantly, she plays mrudangam better than many of her male counterparts.

it appears as if rajna swaminathan is developing a complex in being a woman playing what is typically considered a manly instrument; with her short hair it appears as if she is attempting to minimize her womanhood and look more mannish to go with the flow so to speak; unfortunate she took up an instrument that calls for a degree of strength in the forearms that a woman usually lacks; no matter how much she practices, she'll never be able to achieve the levels of her male counterparts;
