I remember this storm and that day...the damage around the state from the wind and tornadoes was unprecedented! and most of areas of the midlands did get hail like this...i was actually where the golf ball hail fell...was insane and then the wind picked up and the hail quit finally but it was definately a storm to remember! that was really a month to remember!

i just about shit myself during that storm.. i'm over on pond branch road near white knoll high school... we covered our cars with tarps and stuff, they turned out okay :)

March 15, 2008 is one for the record books for South Carolina had 14 confirmed tornadoes (more than the average yearly total) on 3/15/08. Many locations including the Lowcountry, this was an unpredecented outbreak in the range of its severity. Severe Storms aren't rare in SC, but classic tornadic supercell thunderstorms are and just about every single storm that developed on 3/15/08 was supercellular and most were tornadic at some point.

well, here is what I have to say, "hail the supercell thunderstorms!" hey, that same storm produced baseball hail in Atlanta Georgia, you woulda freaked over your car! lol Carolina has had this many times actually...
