  • You wouldn't want to derby that....if anything...try and get it for a good price, get it running decent and clean it up and sell it. You can make some money on that easily. There are plenty of late 70's/80's Caprices and LTD's out there to derby....or buy a shell from the junkyard.

  • go find some chevy junk to derby..people actually appreciate clean oldsmobiles of this vintage..

  • @365degrees Yes the 75 & 76 grills are different between the Olds 98 as well as the light fixtures that are different too. In 1975 All the Caddy's had square lights. The Buick Electra was the only model to get the square lights as well as the Olds Ninety Eight. The Olds Delta 88 and The Buick Lesabre did not get the square lights till 1976 as well as the Chevy Caprice and The Impala, The Pontiac Grandville also recieved square lights in 1975 and The Bonneville recieved square lights in 76

  • @vega660 You are part right. This car is a 75 Olds 98. Buick Park Avenues and some Caddies had the square lights starting in 75. I'm not trying to argue or make you look bad, just letting you know the facts. Check out a 76 98 and see the difference in the grills or look it up anywhere that contains such information. I owned a 76 but always liked the 75 grill better. I would not lie to you. I follow one rule for myself--I only open my mouth when I am 1000% sure.

  • these are rare!!!!

  • 76 olds regency, all GM cars switched to rectanguler headlights in 76, if it were a 75 they would be ciricular. thats always a good way to tell if somethings pre or post 76

  • That car is a collectors item, like a "barn find" that comes along from time to time. It would make a great derby car - but a much better show car.
