Emacs looks pretty useful; seems to be doing some command/symbol completion for you... is it just some Lisp script that does it?

not really, he has to save the code first, then i guess the interpreter reloads it. you can hear the discrepency in the music. not sure if that's the interpreter reload, or just the IO though. (that's if your question was more literal than the author gathered)
