  • JBL lolx you are a Wrestler or a Politician ?

  • Hm... Not bad, Mr. Layfield.

  • @TheSammyreynolds

Thank you for your productive and highly intellectual input. You should be proud of your contribution, today.

  • @samsonlovesyou i read your profile and your reply is obvious. you need to go live in cuba or china.

It would be a naive to believe that electricity companies are corrupt, and as JL's more or less conceding, the free market hasn't been taking care of the issues he raised (lest they wouldn't be raised at all).

I would have thought that the solution to corruption in nationalised industry would have been greater regulation of government institutions, backed by public demand.

  • @samsonlovesyou Their are states as well as cities that own utility companies. I live near Memphis where the city owns the gas, water and electricity companies. They are corrupt and flat out broke and costing the city millions of dollars. The government should not get in the business of running what the free market can do own it's own.

  • Impressed with your research, JL.

    One question, though:

If you're advocating a tax-and-spend policy, you're obviously not aversed to government involvement in the economy (that makes two of us). Of course, you're advocating that the energy companies themselves are taxed to pay for investment in the technology.

Why not nationalise the energy sector, have general tax-payer money fund the project, and allow the tax-payers (via the state [or even via wealth redustribution]) to keep the profit?

  • NICE PLACE YOU GOT THERE JBL

  • one of the greatest wrestlers ever.

  • JBL would make a good State Governor. He'd probably be better for Texas than Rick, I can't remember the third one, Perry.
