This is the worst interpretation of this piece music I have ever heard out of all the interpretation that are on youtube.

Someone please kick this moron out...

Why dont play lang lang the original Liszt compisition, instead of this piece of sht weak try-out "improvization"? This clow is disgrace, in contrast the great Liszts composer compositions!

Russian-American Rachmaninoff is the greatest pianist in history. His interpretation of the Liszt HR2 is sublime.
Russian-American Horowitz is peerless (except for Rach and Gilels), his performance of his transcription of the HR2 is extraordinary.
Lang Lang attempts the Horowitz version.
Jung Lin's HR2 is extraordinary.
Hamelin's HR2 has wonderful jazz-cadenza and a jazzy friska.
Lisitsa's HR2 is a lesson on strictly playing to indicated tempo and dynamics.
Maksim "attempts" the HR2 (?) - UGH

HISTORY IS FULL OF SCAM VERSIONS OF LISZT
RUSSIAN Vladimir Horowitz made this simplified version where he cut the unplayable split-octave ending in half. He simplified other parts including the octaves just before the end and the chromatic chords. He lied to the press about the level of difficulty of his version.
CHINESE Lang Lang copies the Russian scam of playing the easier version. He doesn't have to lie about the difficulty of the arrangement, because Horowitz did the lying for him.

EXAMPLES OF SCAM VERSIONS OF LISZT
FRENCH Alfred Cortot rearranged the order of 400 notes at the end, so his hands wouldn't have to move in opposite directions. (Dichter was Polish, not French.)
POLISH Ignacy Paderewski used the same European scam as the others to con people into thinking that he could play Liszt.
AUSTRIAN Alfred Brendel used the same European scam on the ending, but he simplified other parts as well. (Example: he cut the 22 note scales and played 10 note arpeggios.)

EXAMPLES OF SIMPLIFIED LISZT ON RECORDINGS
AUSTRAILIAN Leslie Howard rearranged the order of 400 notes at the end, so his hands wouldn't have to move in opposite directions.
FRENCH Misha Dichter faked the split octaves the same way.
RUSSIAN Sergi Rachmaninoff used the old "interpretation" scam where he played the ending quietly, clinging to the keys. It's like a director who can't make the shower scene in Hitchcocks' Psycho exciting, so he "interprets" it as boring to make it easier.
guys... maybe lang lang just simply interprets this piece diferently... but personal, jung lins version is BOSS
