MEET JOESAR ALVA
Joesar Alva has been dancing since he was a little boy. After learning to wave from his father, he slowly taught himself more and learned some of his own tricks. In December 2005, Joesar joined Future Shock DC. Immediately that following February, he continued his training as he auditioned for Culture Shock DC. During his years on the troupe, he's joined other groups such as Capital Funk, Yur Mother, and Boogie Bots.
It was not until November 2007 that Joesar realized that dancing is all he wants to do, and decided to pursue it as a career. Since then he's been inspired by many, training intensely, working on his craft and finding his style, choreographing when he can. A couple of his inspirations are Tony Czar and Lyle Beniga just to name a few.
Joesar has been featured in The Monsters of Hip Hop Show 2008: The Journey of the Underdogg, as well as Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew Season 2 with the Boogie Bots.
