A quick walk through of a portable gaming solution that I call Classic Games 2 Go. Using 2 USB gamepads, a 1gb USB memory stick, and a 4 port USB hub, I've created a portable, multi-emulator gaming system that can plug and play into just about any Windows PC. Current emulators include MAME, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Sega 32x and Turbo Grafix 16. The stick holds about 315 of my favorite retro games

  • What's name of the Frontend? MaLaOS?

  • It is GameLauncher.

  • lol ive done that in a way but i have no idea how to load em all from one screen like you do, just havent gotton around to buying some gamepads lol

  • It's a lot of behind the scenes stuff with batch files, rather than the frontend looking for the rom files (.gen, .nes, .pce, etc) it looks for the batch and launches the batch instead.

  • What Frontend program are you using?

  • GameLauncher for the portable. I use MameWah on my cab

  • Hey man, I use a diff emulator, one for SNES one for Sega etc.. however I can never get BOTH controllers working at once.. it works in the 'GAME CONTROLLER' testing part of control panel, I've configured it inside the emulator and it responds but during game play I cannot press 'Start' as such to get the second player involved.. Any ideas? I'm running windows 7 but seems to work like XP in relation to emulator and gamepad setup, Im using FUSION for Sega and ZSNES for .. snes games.. Thanks.

  • dude you have to make and sell these lol

  • can u give a tutorial on how to do this......i mean the software based part .....im realy intrested

  • lol michael jackson moonwalking

  • how do you combine emulators

  • it would be a good idea for agift though so i might look into it at some point to do it as such

  • I used the hub so that everything can be portable and only one USB connection is needed. I've upgraded the controllers to XBOX360 controllers and it works much better.
