Paracord Fusion Ties - Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion... The Crooked River Bar is the fusion of the Curling Millipede tying technique and alternating Square Knots. Combined, these two ties make an elegant bar that looks like a crooked river darting to-and-fro between a bank lined with rocks (thus the Crooked River Bar's name). Video production by JD Lenzen of Tying It All Together. Park Days: http://www.amazon.com/Park-Days-ebook...

Thanks JD for another amazing video! I can't wait to give it a try! How are getting on with your new paracord books?

    Happy knotting!

    - They're coming along well. I'm nearly completed with the full draft layout (with text) of the first book.

What is difference between the 450 and 550 cord?

i know these numbers refer to the weight they can sustain.

But, do they have any other differences, for example, is 550 cord stiffer than 450?

450 Paracord has 4 to 5 strands within it, so it's slightly more pliable than 550 Paracord, which usually has about 7 strands within it. Both work just as well with my designs, only 550 Paracord ties will end up a slight bit thicker.

    - The easiest thing to do (to make it wider) would be to add more center cords (the "short" cords the horizontal cords weave over and around).

How did you come up with the name, and how does this relate to the original river bar that I'm such a huge fan of?

i love this stitch! To me it seems like its a variation of the cobra knot (solomon) then adding in another 'twist' or 'loop' to add the criss cross. Keep them coming!
