Best video ever!! Thank you so much. Amazing and beautiful and full of wonderful reminders. Added to my favorites. Hopefully one day we can all truly *hear* this message, with new ears. Thank you for putting out this positive energy and wisdom. P.S. I am also pro-vegan and pro-choice and pro-love and acceptance. :)

Some good & bad points. I agree our views might not be right and you shouldn't hate for people disagreeing with you but that doesn't mean you can't argue. If you think the world needs to hear something or do something, preach it. Don't judge the judgers. We all judge. If that's a problem to you, it's your problem. I don't think the day will ever come where you can't buy rice or pasta from a supermarket. We all contribute to suffering sure, but to different extents. I take what I need and no more

@johnchapterseventeen Hey :) I just want to say that I am vegan and wouldn't dream of judging anyone eating meat due to challenging circumstances when other food isn't available. Also, a lot of crops grown in the third world are fed to animals for meat and dairy for people in the West, rather than being fed to the starving people there. And lots of fruit is grown in Africa. I guess more money is needed for more fruit trees to be planted there. Love and peace.

Dude, I love your attitude in dealing with opposing opinions! Your openness and fervent desire to share love and attention to everyone, even those who are a little rude... very inspirational, man, seriously. I know you like the Power of Now, and I thought maybe I'd share Discover The Gift with you... It's a great new documentary that I think you'd like if you enjoyed the Power of Now. on .fb .me/ kVoAQo

@LoveLotusBoy Lotus, I am not in opposition to the Reality of what you Are. I support veganism, yet I am not vegan. This body of mine is an organic being that has a brain that I owe to millions of years of my biological ancestors eating BOTH animal and plant-beings. I don't believe lettuce has sentience, but the cells that structure that lettuce are the very same cells that organized THEMSELVES into animal, as well as plant.

@LoveLotusBoy When the sun "kills us all" I hope you believe your truth abides, Lotus... Mr. McCluskey, don't lose hope in the face of such labeling and control....This person has there identity wrapped completely in their ideal of veganism.....They don't realize that this form dissolves like all other forms, and forms include bodies (plant, animal and cellular), all material structures, planets, physical energy, AS WELL AS all ideas, beliefs, memes, cultures, etc....all forms dissolve...

good vid. i'm trying to be pro "live your life however the hell you want" camp, but there are some behaviors i have a really hard time tolerating. trying to change people is exhausting and stressful though. i find i'm more at peace when i live my life the way i want regardless of what other people are doing, and let others do what they want. if i find someone intolerable i seriously consider not being around them. my joy and peace has become more important to me than getting sucked into BS.

I DECIDED TO BECOME VEGAN APRIL 1 OF THIS YEAR, AND THAT WAS THE BEST CHOICE I MADE BECAUSE I WANTED TO FEEL A CHANGE INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY BY MY 21ST BIRTHDAY, AND JUST AS I PLANNED, SO IT HAPPEN AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER WITH MYSELF. PEOPLE ARE ALSO SEEING THE DIFFERENCE IN ME. WITHOUT TELLING OTHERS MY TRANSFORMATION MAKES THEM WANT TO EXPERIENCE ALL THAT I AM GOING THROUGH. ITS VERY TRUE THAT ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS AND YOUR TRANSFORMATION IS INSPIRING A LOT OF CHANGE.

Interesting vid Phillip, though I would comment with regards to "choice"..I am sure those animals that suffer needlessly had NO choice when they were slaughtered/hunted etc. As humans we do have a CHOICE and that choice should always be to the benefit of all living creatures. To any soul here that is having a human experience, then you have far more choices than any other animal on this planet..and with great wisdom comes the value and true love of other animals.
There is no reason to ever exalt the killing of animals, Mr. McCluskey, even if you find indigenous lifestyles so enamoring. They weren't perfect. It sounds to me like you rediscovered your ego. Where is the humility? Remember what strict raw, live vegan foods have contributed to your health, brother. Don't become another dissident of raw vegan lifestyles just because you cannot stand powerfully in the face of adversity and animosity from others. Intellectual suicide, yikes...

dude you wisdom has grown exponentially since you relenquished your food ego!! The last few videos have been amazing. are the inuets bad people because they eat seals? Have you ever tried growing a pineapple in the snow? What about people in africa where raw food is not sustainable and they can only eat meat? Do we judge them for simply trying to survive? You are right, we are not here to quarrel about food, food has become a false idol to many vegans.

I tried to watch this but I couldn't take it after a few minutes. You're quoting Gandhi to rebut ethical vegans? Do you know who Gandhi was, dude? Veganism is about NON-VIOLENCE, among other things. Don't you get that? Here are some more Gandhi quotes: "A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history. " "A 'No' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble. "
