  • Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the ways of the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of a free state. -Thomas Jefferson

  • @Vietboy1st Actually anyone that owns a weapon and could potentially need to rely on it needs to be able to manipulate that weapon efficiently. But you didn't answer my question. Which drill (give me a time stamp?) do you purport would get you shot in real combat?

  • @Cookies205 Required to possess a gun? Yes, but no ammunition. Kind of hard to shoot back with an empty firearm, hence the low gun violence stats. Stringent gun laws = lower gun violence. No brainer.

  • @EvMund oh, gotcha

  • @jabooper The meaning of soldier here is not what you seem to think it is. The quote does not mean that everyone has to become an actual soldier and fight in a war, but rather that each person should be capable of defending themselves, their property and their freedoms. My $0.02

  • @PUTMEONTHEREDLIST Gotta disagree with you there buddy. Only those who really have the desire to be a soldier should be a soldier. Otherwise you have a group of people whose hearts aren't really into being what a soldier needs to be.

  • @PUTMEONTHEREDLIST ye but he also said a well regulated militia, and considering the 2nd amendment was made up when muskets were still around its would be pretty perverted so say its still as valid as our forefathers made it out to be.

  • @derfuher00 This is true. I'm in Ireland, where guns are banned, and we've been invaded countless times, along with the UK, Japan, Aussiland and most of Europe.

  • :17 dude trying to look like a total badass. hahaha "there's a soldier in all of us"

  • @PUTMEONTHEREDLIST

I know it isnt your quote, but not every roman citizen was a soldier, and that custom of military conscription in ancient Greece varied from region to region. Also, I think he got a little confused (Thomas Jefferson) with the roman part. probably by the fact that those who were not Roman citizens were granted Roman citizenship if they had a min 25 year career in a legion. Also, despite my roman ancestry, Rome as a free state? LOL BS, you served Caesar in some way, that's all

  • @TheJaaysog yea because controlling guns and drugs makes the world a better place right? When has the government trying to control something ever worked? Alcohol?No.Drugs?No.The only thing gun laws do is restrict those willing to abide by them (generally not the people involved in massacres).Just look at Switzerland, where almost every adult male is required to possess a gun.And look at their gun violence stats, way lower than the US.People generally don't shoot if someone will shoot back. durr

  • Got enough shit on those guns?
