Making judgements about events in the past is ignorant. Both sides had their reasons. Judging peoples in the past based on todays morals etc is not really fair. I'm sure one day folks will look back to this time and say what a bunch of idiots we were. I just enjoy the song cause Marty Robbins was so great.

Starchief59, I'm pretty sure the reason you see Mexicans cheat in work is because they are the majority of the workforce in many places. It's almost 80% where I am. There are tons of prick Mexicans, but guess what, there are just as many prick white people. Just depends on where you are. Down here where I am, it's sad to say, but the lower demographic is mostly Mexican; in other places it's black, and in others, its white. It ain't about race, its about community

My wife is from New Braunfels and we are both Chefs. I have an all Mexican crew. I have never met more honest or hard working people than the ones I work with. She feels the same way. It must be something about that little town of yours that makes good people. As a former Corpsman and somebody that works with Mexicans every day, dkw, I salute your service and your people.

That means you went to school in Texas and grew up with an us and them perspective. That's how you can call mexican americans mexicans. I'm retired military where there is no us and them because everyone is in the same boat. I think street crime is more closely related to poverty than ethnicity. The dealings I have had with mexican americans have been with positive though.

I've got plenty of mexican friends and even my best friend/ roommate is mexican. But if you ever work construction you'll learn that you cant put a tool down for a second. The mexicans that pretend to be your friends will snatch that stuff up in a second. They'll lie on time sheets, they'll steal your tools, they'll hide so they don't have to work and they'll always be sick on mondays. Of course not every one of them, but a higher percentage than white people. White people have their faults too
