Beauty is only skin deep... right?

I uploaded this video 4 years ago in my senior year of high school because I felt extremely ugly - but I liked what I saw in the mirror. So why did I feel like nobody else did? At the time, I felt like boys should see the process that most (not all) girls go through in their daily ritual to feel accepted even though they themselves are happy with who they are. Even today I feel pressured to make sure my concealor covers my bags, my hair's properly conditioned and my cheeks are correctly flushed because let's face it - we're creatures who like nice things to stare at. But at what cost?

You are so right, more people should be happy the way they are and be confident that who they are as a person is appealing enough, im not saying that enhansing your natural beauty is a bad thing, just relationships shouldn't be soley based on physical attraction :) x

I think you still looked cute w/o makeup, but after you had on all those things you looked pretty hot too I had to admit lol.

I don't think it's bad to try to improve your appearance to look better, but personally I would only do it on occasions. If its just goin to school I would just barely get ready lol. If people see your "perfect" appearance too often, they'll get too used to it and think that's who you are.

Most importantly, improve your appearance to impress YOURSELF. That's all I can say

In all honesty, I agree with you. We shouldn't have to do this EVERY damn morning to get any attention/affection from males. Course, there has to be that sexual attraction as well. But the thing is find a guy who thinks your beautiful/hot with out all the make up and such<3(:
