Goodness! Can I please have a high boy soprano voice...just to feel what it's like to sing that high so effortlessly...even if it's just for a few minutes?
-
i sang this solo yesterday :)

que hermosa

My favorite...

A wonderful Carol indeed but I must ask is there an extended version at all ??
Just that a hymn so great feels that it should be longer than 1.30

J'adore, c'est juste magnifique !

i sang the whole thing in a concert

This gave me such goose bumps! So beautiful. Brought back such wonderful and tender memories. Sometimes we humans really are blessed.

i cried when i went from a soprano to a tenor because my choir leader had prommised me this solo :(

@wizard9a9 Awesome! Thanks! I wasn't sure if they were women or counter-tenors because its usually REALLY difficult for women to have straight tones now a days with little to no vibrato ya dig?

this is definately a boy

These are actually women from the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS!!! it's SO BEAUTIFUL!!! ceremony of carols is my favorite piece by britten.
actually, a woman's chorus sounds great on this. my chorus sang it a couple times, and i actually think the pureness of a woman's voice is better for the pureness of the songs

I've listened to both the Choir of King's College, Cambridge (Willcocks) and the Copenhagen Boys Choir (with Britten himself) sing this, and neither come close to the women here.

My guess is early 20's. The singers in the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge are mostly undergraduate Choral Scholars. The sound quality of the singers in this recording is particularly suitable.
