How to safely assemble your new Guo Tenor Flute. At Toot Uncommon Flutes, we add a sticker to the top of the case. Always be sure to open the case with the "sticker" side up. Always grip the flute firmly, where NO KEYS are. Gently use a back and forth motion to put the foot on the flute. NEVER turn the foot all the way round, as the foot keys will crunch over the other keys, damaging the flute. ALWAYS lay the flute down with the keys facing upward! Do not lay it with the keys down, or against a table, or furniture, etc. Enough said...the video will make all this look as easy as it is!

  • Is this the same pitch as a bass flute?

  • @sackadoodle Yes, this is a bass flute. The manufacturer calls it a "tenor." I own 2 Guo basses. They are lightweight, therefore easier on the shoulder, back, neck, and carpal tunnels, than the heavier metal flutes. They also cost MUCH LESS. It is easy to produce a great tone in all 3 registers. To hear a sample, see my video called JABBERWOCKY, by TOOT UNCOMMON. I like these Guo Flutes so much, I sell them. More about that on the JABBERWOCKY video. Thanks for asking.

  • Thanks, that was informative. I just purchased a used Jupiter bass, or I would totally be in the market for this... but a friend might be interested, so could you PM me the price at which you can sell me one?

    Thanks!
