As instructors, we spend the time to over-analyze and understand as much as we can so, in various forms, for various types of learners, we can come to a common goal of creating an independent skier who can show self expression, at the pace and level they want, with the confidence to ski the mountain without hesitation.

It is great to see such fine examples of each step in the new ski progression. Using CSIA instructors clearly defines what is expected at each step. Greater validity for this new progress would have been achieved if members of the skiing public been also included with each step. Let's use real people in the real skiing world as well. Are real people in the real skiing world capable of dong what ski instructors spend hours perfecting?
