A 5.9 earthquake hit VA today and people from VA to MA were reporting that they felt it. Buildings in NY were evacuated and many people were rattled. What many people don't realize is that there was ANOTHER earthquake about 10 hours prior in Colorado! The strongest in a century!

OK, with all this doom and gloom, is the world coming to an end? Perhaps, but nothing we see today is giving any indication that it will end any time soon. Every gerneration thinks they are the special generation who has it the worst but the fact is that things are MUCH better than they have ever been. What are people worried about a little 5.9 quake that did basically no damage that I know of? Maybe you forgot:

Ice Age
Dinosaurs extinction
Earthquakes that kill nearly ONE MILLION people!
The Spanish Plague which killed 50 million!
World War I
World War II
Civil War in America
The Crusades
Slavery
Remember what happened to the native Indians in America?
What about Hitler?
Nuclear war anybody?
10 year Great depression with 25% UNEMPLOYMENT!

So if you think you are having a hard, go talk to a Holocaust survivor and let them help you get over yourself and your tunnel vision arrogance. The earth was around MUCH longer than 300 years and a LOT of really bad things have happened WAY before your time.

People have thought the world was soon coming to an end since 2800BC:

So smile and be thankful that you missed the dark ages of history! :)

  • he mustn't have lived "too" close to the epicenter. i was in Ft. Washington, MD, next to D.C and the house i was in shook like.... like holy shit

  • @condomadventures Did you feel anything today?

  • It is true that we do take a lot for granted! I heard about that earthquake on the east coast, which I don't think I've ever heard of happening over there.

  • @DtRockstar1 Grass is always "greener" eh?

  • This was my Birthday!!

  • @MyxMaster I actually already took a look at some of your work. I liked that kid playing music in the station. Unfortunately, "nobody" is on Vimeo. I know that is not literally true, but I think you know what I mean. I certainly would not have 408 views in one day on Vimeo. Vimeo is a great site and has some of the best work I've seen online, but it's just not a mass market venue.

  • @carlylespicks As I was listening to the soundtrack and watching the quality of the video, it reminded me of the work I've seen on Vimeo. Vimeo is mostly for videographers who love the art of video. Check it out if you haven't already. This is a link to my page: vimeo dot com/myxmaster

  • @MyxMaster Thank you very much! No, CP is not on Vimeo. Why do you ask?

  • Great work on the video and very informative. Are you on Vimeo?
