In study after study, animal-assisted therapy has proven to be a valid tool in helping children with autism and other developmental disabilities build a new sense of self-confidence. Animal-assisted therapy has been shown to counteract isolation and facilitate socialization. In this 20-minute video, split up in 5 parts, one little boy builds a relationship with a therapy dog and learns about purpose and compassion. (Video 5 of 5.)

  • I know this, im dyspraxic im 14 now, but because my dad used to treat my bad when i was younger, it made me even worse, i couldn't speak, use my hands very well but then when i was 9 i got a dog called Lucky, she broutgh me out of all that i leanrnt new things, i had her until i was 13, loved her so much she was like a sister, she is not here anymore though, she died, :'( I really miss her

  • @bosquecat thank you, i really wish she was still here though,i don't know what to do annymore, since she died, i went back to being on my own, i just found out i have slight autism, i would really love if i could talk to you about things bothering me with it
