RIP PlayStation Vita

The Playstation Vita is set to flop as consumers in Japan choose to avoid it. Meanwhile the 3DS is setting records, despite gaming journalists deeming it a failure.

Where are the "Sony is doomed" articles at? Oh right, it doesn't work that way at IGN or the gaming media.

the vita has only been out in japan. the sales of one region is not enough to determine if a systems a flop or not.

@doxdex1562 And why were people calling the 3DS a flop when it launched in Japan? Now we know the Vita is doing many times worse so we have every right to flip it on the fanboys and gaming media who declared the 3DS was doomed and said nothing about Vita's disastrous sales in Japan.

And in case you didn't know, Japan is not just some region to Sony. It's the only region where the PSP wasn't a total joke for the last couple years. Dumb ass.

@TheDfelephant The 3DS was the best-selling console in Japan in 2011. It outsold the Vita by a ton at the same price when it launched in Japan in February.
