Since the Turkish invasion in 1974 Greek Cypriots have been deprived of their homes and land. Until 2003 no one could even visit Northern Cyprus. This video was recorded the first days the checkpoints between north and south were opened after 30 years.
I myself am a son of two refugee parents and was travelling with relatives to visit our homes that were barbarically taken from us. In the video we travel to my familys village of Ayios Andronikos, the cape of Apostolos Andreas and the ancient Greek city-state of Salamis.
