  • Not sure where the neck shot came from? The deer was shot through both lungs. Did I shoot it on a road, yup is there anything wrong with it nope. I hunted hard for 8 days above timber without connecting on a nice buck. Instead of shooting a little up and comer 100 incher I decided to shoot a doe for meat. Is it a real hunt like belly crawling up to a nice buck after glassing him up from over a mile away....NO. Was I happy to come home with some meat after a rough hunt, absolutely!

  • Didn't film it, just still shots

  • There we were, last evening of our trip and damn near dark. We'd been driving the logging road most of the day, looking for those Mule deer to cross; when finally there they are, 20 yards ahead, I jump from the car grabbed the bow, knocked the arrow and as the deer came onto the road at 40 yards, I let her have it, right in the neck. The only thing missing from this perfect car hunt, was a semi-truck, coming the opposite way, honking his horn! True Story.

  • Beauty. The arch of the arrow was poetic.

  • Now that was cool, especially on the last day!

  • recovery?
