This is a video for Bother's Bar after a post I made on there. I explain what you get in The Million Pound Drop game and highlight some of its faults, including a broken drop after one use and getting 10 question cards with no questions or answers on.

Slight bit of errata, at one point, I say 'white metal frame', it's actually a white plastic frame. A FLIMSY white plastic frame.

This video was taken with my 4th Generation iPod Touch to get an idea of its video-making capabilities. It certainly looks better than the digital camera I used to record my D&D Starter Set unboxing video, so this is what I'll use from now on.

  • Pause it on 1:39 mate and its those 4 square shape things with the grey coloured sides which are blue on the other side i still have no idea what they are for

  • @ARSEN4LBEN OK, I've had a look back, they were just scrap bits of card that you push out when making the drop table. No idea why I kept them! :D

  • I got this game for christmas for £6 as it was a special offer from tesco the timer didnt come with it in the box which i was dissapointed about but overall i enjoy playing the game as its a good family game to play but im abit dissapointed that there isnt like any eletronic buttons you can press so the drops drop automaticly but overall i enjoy playing the game by the way would you be able to tell me what the 4 square cards are used for you mentioned it in the video but i dno what they are for.

  • @ARSEN4LBEN Glad you were able to get the game cheaper than I did! :D I've just watched my video back and I'm not sure what you mean by '4 square cards'. The closest I can think to that is the cards with the red borders which have 4 answers on for questions 1-4, the blue-bordered ones are the 3-answer cards for questions 5-7 and the black-bordered cards are the 2-answer cards for the last question.

  • yeah i did a conversion for 25 GBP & compared it to the usd (the currency of my homeland) & yeah i would have expected at least 300-400 questions for like US$30 so that being US$40-US$41 i would think its a rip off too (i would have only paid at most $20, $25 if i really wanted it, in your money about 12-15 Pounds). so yeah i feel bad for you hope you can get a refund.

  • @gamelover11000 Thanks for your comment! It's far too late to get a refund as I bought the game around Christmastime. Glad you agree that you would expect more for your money. I personally would have liked a hidden catch system to release the drops, as tapping each wrong answer removes the surprise element of the game, and a sturdier drop table. If a home version of Million Dollar Money Drop gets released, I hope it's better than this!

  • For £25 it should be a miniature model of the full drop with the perspex bottom, with a little suitcase for the bundles of "money". I guess it becomes more of a doll's house type toy than a game though at that point! Why not throw in models of the security guards and Davina McCall at the same time.

  • where are the answers to the questions?????

  • That game really looks like crap. I think it can't last that long. I've got the german version of this game called "Rette die Million"which came this year and I think they did a far better job on that. The trap-doors are sliders and can be pulled out to let the money drop. I hope that they will replace your game.

  • I bought this recently and mine works perfectly - the trapdoors are great and there are no misprinted question cards. Maybe they've changed the manufacturing? I would contact Drumond Park, they quickly fixed a problem with my Deal or No Deal game by sending a replacement.

  • They got their licence to use the name and rushed out a game... not worth buying - maybe you should have submitted the video to Watchdog?
