Driving through Tehran 2 - the Sister (Part 2)

A divorcee who has remarried drives around the city taking different people in her car. Her passengers are her son, her sister, two mosque visiting women and a prostitute. In the course of these car trips a few things are revealed about their lives.

Is this a documentary or not you may ask yourself after watching it. In any case it is split into 10 episodes (counting down from 10 to 1).

The limited camera angles reflect the confinement of Iranian women's lives. Apart from Mania Akbar, most of the people in this film are non-actors. Abbas Kiarostami rules, brilliant minimalist film making. The kid is Mania Akbar's son in real life.
