I was invited to fish with Mike Herzberg and Ron Wakita for Chinook on the Kitimat River a couple of weeks ago. Mike's drift boat is a CLACKACRAFT. He has owned this boat for years and it still looks "brand new". More and more CLACKACRAFT drift boats are showing up in our area. They are great boats! Their logo says, "fear no rock". The boat pictured at the end of this video is an 18 foot owned by Gill McKean. There is plenty of room for up to four anglers and the guide. Each angler has their own seat.
Ron was rowing at the time Mike hooked his fish with a G.Loomis http://www.gloomis.com Hot Shot rod, Ambassadeur http://www.purefishing.com 6500C5 reel, Kwikfish http://www.rapala.ca K13 Silver Blue plug and size 5/0 Gamagatsu http://www.rapala.ca hook with barb pinched down. We used the Gibbs http://www.gibbsfishing.com "catch and release" net. We hooked into about 5 Chinook.
