  • Oh, sorry, didn't mean to delete the last post......Yeah.....I played loads more wrong notes I think than the ones you mentioned.

  • Who was the guy doing the introduction? Looks like Gareth Hunt.

  • Yeah, the late Gareth Hunt, he died not long after this show.

  • is it just me...or he already made a mistake in the first chord...what....or is the piano out of tune..

  • There is a good chance, hit a couple of wrong ones in the first page. :-(

  • What is RSI. My mother tongue is not English. Thank you in advance

  • RSI is 'repetitive strain injury ', the muscles get bruised and scared. Total rest is the cure but it's not something i can do.

    Thank you.

  • haha this is the basis of all the bad-tasted villains!

  • Adrian - I thought you played that extremely well. This is coming from an old OZ Army Musician who was (I am pretty sure) he first to play piano with a Military Band in OZ 1970 (of all things "The Pink Panther" LOL but I got an improvised solo in it). That piece comes across in B major but I think it is normally in C???. Didn't notice any bad notes myself but that is the sign of a good musician as you are to be able to hide them.;) Well done! I later played keyboards in dance bands.

  • outstanding

  • Lovely! My children all play piano, and my son really loves this piece. Great job!

  • A beautiful piece of music....brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. You did a GREAT job playing this piece of music. Bravo to you. You get a ***** rating from me! God bless you........

  • My favorite piece of music!

  • Buen pianista, pero inexpresivo, está muy acartonado, tal vez por ser militar, parece robot, sin sentimientos.

  • superb perfromance.l worked with the late great Russ Conway who like you put his hear and soul into his playing

  • Forget about 'missed' or 'wrong' notes! My family's constant attention - 'you missed that one!', 'oops!', "that wasn't right, was it?" or "Wow, that was bad!' etc, took away so much of the joy of playing piano, I nearly quit playing altogether. I became so self-conscious, my hands went cold and shook so I couldn't play. I'm over all that today!

Congrats on having the sheer nerve to get out there to play this beautiful, complex piece - from memory - just before being deployed! Fantastic!

  • AH! I love this. I've not played this piece, but I've played Rachmaninov 1st and 2nd--so the heart is similar. For some reason I'm obsessing over this piece tonight. It's SO cool to see you in full uniform banging the hell out of the black beast. ROCK ON! And blessings on your music, family and country.
