I honestly don't see why people are making a big deal about this, i am a mexican, i come from mexican parents, was raised as a mexican, my dad did a really good job in teaching me about our heritage, this movie is someone's depiction someone's idea on how they believe it may have been back then, don't judge someone's work on your OWN opinion on how it happened, you don't know because you weren't living yourself to witness it, so just enjoy the creation of someones imagination.

@soundgarden: I absolutely have nothing against Gibson & love/adore his 'Braveheart 1995)' but it appears to me u draw conclusions on incomplete evidence, me picking a bone on Gibson that is. Thanks to Gibson, he has painted the Mayans so WRONGFULLY that I have taken interests in understanding how the real Mayans who were known for their excellent Science and Arts were. This movie is as bad as and as wrongfully depicts a real religion as "Indiana Jones and The temple of Doom" does.
