INLAND EMPIRE - David Lynch - HQ Trailer 1

I read somewhere that Mr. Lynch chose the title of the film after Laura Dern told him that her husband was from the Inland Empire, which is a large metropolitan area in southern California consisting of three counties. Apparently, Lynch liked the sound of the words "inland" and "empire" together and it was then that he named his film. Can anyone validate this? I'm wondering because I happen to live in the Inland Empire.

looks creepy

@Corleonetone Lost Highway has a plot, it's just arranged in a skewed manner. Inland Empire has, like, 3 plots, and they convene in various ways. It's very abstract, but it still follows a narrative structures.

@garywingrove : Thanks a lot ! It does matter to me, really =) I think it's pretty interesting that Lynch re-uses some of his old movies/works to put in his new ones... I must admit, "Rabbits" is one hell of a sitcom to watch on TV, haha. I need to see "Inland Empire".
