time lapse of lace monitor laying eggs

I set my camera on time lapse before I left for work so I could see what this female lace monitor gets up to on the day she lays eggs.

I thought they get 8 feet. Are they finished growing?

@Medafoure lace monitors rarely get over 2 metres and females never get anywhere near that. This is a big female, one of the biggest I've seen, and she's around 1.4 metres. I've seen one huge male lace monitor that was pushing 2.2 metres, but to say that all lace monitors get that length is like saying that all humans get as tall as Robert Pershing Wadlow :)
