@crutch37 if you can place yourself so the wind is comming in on the arm that are pulling the line, then its actually a good help to keep the hook on distance and it adds a little more distance to your throw. good luck.

Maybe I shouldn't have watched this video during my early stages of interest in fly fishing. I predict this will be me in the future. I got snagged by an ole timer once in windy conditions. Nipped me on the way back and caught my arm on the forward. Still gonna try it though.

Fly fishing in the wind !
Been there, done that, caught my cap, my back, got everything entangled in the rod (which is funny when fishing with a team of 3), caught my own fly line, stepped on the line... Although frankly I can do all these WITHOUT wind !
