That young lady is obviously infected by disease when writing with cutted finger. Sometimes Chinese traditional medical theory is misleading and ambiguous. More and more Chinese people are realizing this fact.
@wxtrim I get what you mean. I hate the idea of forcing a belief on anyone at all. It's just plain wrong. I'm especially amazed with the Buddhist and Taoist. All my life I've never seen a single one of them talk about religion. Not even in the slightest bit.
@plovakia I do have principles that follow the way of buddhism, but I'm mostly a secular atheist (better said ANTI-theist), that is why I respect buddhists, they don't try and impose ones belief on to another! This can not be said about Christianity, Islam, Judaism and so forth! It is nice to see someone that is at peace with their way of life. Have a great day!
@wxtrim you should become a buddhist coz buddhism is pretty much a way of life. There's no god of any kind in this religion and it teaches people to be peaceful. I'm Chinese Christian but I believe that one man's meat is another man's poison. it's just a peaceful suggestion, follow the path which you believe in :) some find peace in buddhism/taoism.
The real major difference I see is that in Christianity, humans are not good enough and must submit to a higher power. In Buddhism, every human already has the ability to become Buddha.
But whatever. I hate arguing about religion since you'll always argue in circles. I was simply saying that if this was a man in the western world, he should be canonized.
@wxtrim No, I know EXACTLY what it means, which is what I meant by Western sense, attributing it to something westerners could relate to.
And I'm not religious either. Christianity is vengeful because people interpret it literally (unfortunately, most of these people are Christians). If people can get past this, they'll see that the ideas are quite similar. For example Christianity have this concept of the holy spirit within. In Buddhism, the way to reach Nirvana must come from within.
@FoieGras Ok my bad you didn't know exactly what canonizing means, it is an act by which the catholic church or another religion declares a dead person to be a saint. Buddhism is the only religion I respect in this world, any other religion is a fairy tale and the major ones are about gruesome, shallow, vengeful Gods: christianity, islamism and others! I meant no offense, I was just saying, oh and btw I'm an atheist!
