Hoohakville: Live - David Grisman, Arlo Guthrie & JLSC Bus

This short is called "Random walking shots in between set ups". Which pretty well describes an afternoon covering a festival.

There will be more music from this Spring Hookahville up soon Arlo's whole could be a verita doc, as could Grisman's set.

For a some of you you'll see Laurie of Harmonious Healing Touch, Dave (Mad Tapper of Detroit), and Tammy Scott/Tiger Moon.

I hope you enjoy the music and Tiger's poem. After this outing with Arlo Tiger heard about the Spitfire Tour and was accepted to do spoken word there.

One of the things I was quite happy with is that at this Hookahville some of the people I met at Woodstock, and later saw at Warped Tour in Florida working with the John Lennon Songwriter Contest put me in contact with their tour manager which created the opportunity to have the Studio Bus at this Hookahville, Creed at Pine Knob, and the VooDoo Music Experience in NOLA.

I haven't seen Bobby since then. I saw Phil a year or so after that. It's already been a couple of years since I last saw Arlo. That Hookahville was epic! They'll never be able to recreate it.

No I will never be like that again, but I hope they keep trying. There was one I missed that look really, really good with Galactic, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones with Medeski Martin & Wood and a couple of other notables. And of course any outdoor festival that Popper and Blues Traveler shows up at is going to epic and a flash back.

Have you seen Bobby in the last year or so? I shot some video on the Ratdog/SCI tour out in California and let me tell you Bobby's hot and so was Cheese. Lots of hard jammin' funk ~ Keys and strings with amazing thunder on the drums.

I can't wait to catch them this summer.

So glad you enjoyed it. That Hookahville is one of my high water marks as festival go. Just getting a chance to see Arlo and David Grisman for the first time made the road trip legendary. Of course adding to that Bobby & Ratdog with Hoohak and thats a damn good weekend.
