this song by Burton Lane was originally recorded by Wes montgomery with Mel Rhyne on Organ. It is a very nice recording like almost everything you hear from Wes and you should go buy it. The chordal arrangement stems from Ira Kriss. I put some Joe Diorio voicings in as well. I developed the solo over time during practice and live playing. the first lick is inspired by Ed Bickert's solo on A Flower is a Lovesome thing by Billy Strayhorn. Well, there you go. enjoy!

  • I'm glad you like it. Isn't this a wonderful song!

  • Thank you so much for the camera angle. It makes it very easy to tab these out!

  • Would you mind sharing the TAB after doing so?

  • Hey, great arrangement, what type of guitar are you playing, btw I really liked the tone on "blues in the closet."

  • A really good question. I wouldn't know until I met recently a collector. It is a L49C from the 50ties. Cheers & long live Jazz, Pat

  • It's really difficult to make out the initial chords. a TAB would be nice! :)

  • This is cool ...very nice playing ...I wonder what kind of Archtop are you playing with ?

  • wow i really like your tone. really clean and you still have that great pop when playing higher pitches. what kind is it? beautiful tune btw

  • if you look and listen - don't try too hard to see where his fingers are but get the gist of it and rely principally on your ear you can sort it out pretty easily without tabs
